Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
So... Satan is to be locked up for a thousand years.... and then he "must" be set free for a short time.I was in a Woman's Bible Study when I learned about these verses. Why would Satan get anything less than a life sentence? I can see why God wouldn't give him "death"... that would make him a martyr.
I learned he is going to be set free.... so all those who "didn't really mean to choose God" can be isolated.
It's easy to be a good little girl or boy when there are no temptations..... but after a thousand years.... some will still have a craving for the "ungodly" side of life... and they have to be dealt with. So... Satan's lure will be a trap.
It's a trap!
