Revelation 22:1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
God will be sure of the inhabitants who will live in the city. These inhabitants are more than newly sculpted creatures.... these inhabitants have already proven their steadfastness. No... they aren't perfect.... but they made it to the city.... through all the chaos and judgement. These inhabitants love the Lord and they are thrilled to walk the same sidewalks. It's ok if they eat from the tree now. They will live forever with their Lord.

Look at the middle of verse 2.... "On each side of the river stood the tree of life". That is some deep English grammar.

Whenever a disaster strikes.... the powers that be declare a State of Emergency. That means they declare an emergency and funding has been applied.... but when multiple areas are enduring disaster.... the TV news writers just loose it.... Governors are reported to declare "states" [no state] "states of emergencies".... Oh my.... multiple emergencies in multiple states? Nope just horrific grammar.

How can one tree be on both sides of the street? Grammatically this is one "type" of tree lining the street. This is like saying there is a river running through the city.... and on each side is a path lined with "life" trees. They are quite magnificent... full and fruitful..... and they live off the river of life.... which comes from God.

Now... look at verse 4.... I doubt seriously we will all need God's name on our foreheads... I think this is deep English grammar too!

Have you ever seen a reflection on the top of a bald head? We'll be so cleaned up and squeaky clean again.... our foreheads will reflect what we are looking at... and we will be looking at God. His face is reflected in the clean new skin we will all display. Wouldn't it be heavenly for some if the reason they said foreheads instead of heads... is that everyone will get their hair back?!? Wouldn't it be heavenly if all the worry and age wrinkles would be smoothed causing the reflection of Our Lord on our spiffy clean and renewed smooth foreheads?!?

Wouldn't it be heavenly if we didn't care about hair or wrinkles? Wouldn't that be a heavenly way for God's name to be on our head.... if we all had God on our mind instead of hair or wrinkles?

At any rate... we'll have beautiful trees lining main street in our new home.

We won't be worried about hair or wrinkles....
