Revelation 8:3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.
Beth Moore did a Bible Story about the building of the tent and the implements Moses and the Jews built in the desert. In that study she said that what was built on earth was a copy of what was in heaven. So if you want a look at the alter talked about here.... all you have to do is go back to the alter and censor in Exodus 17.
God hears all our prayers. He knows the horrible things that are happening to the Christians from the days people started to pray that the Messiah would come, through the ministry of Christ, all the prayers of praise and worship, along with the pleading of all the persecuted Christians. No matter how sweet the incense is in Heaven... it couldn't mask the pain His children have endured up to the point where the Seventh Seal is broken.
So... the coals of the fire on the alter will be poured into the censor and it will be thrown down on earth. It seems to me.... it will be like a meteor hitting earth. God used balls of fire to destroy Sodom. This will be fire right from the altar. Of course it will cause an earthquake.
For those who might be interested.... Gary and I are now in Arizona... we'll see our new apartment today. Hopefully my desk top will be up and running again in the next couple of days. We both have colds.... the trip has been fun but it has been hard. Please pray for us some more.... TIA
