Revelation 9:1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6 During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.
Do you know what you get when you google "locusts coming out of the earth"? Cicadas!!!Cicadas hide in the soil until the soil is just the right temperature.... then they emerge. My guess is... they are not crazy about snow. They emerge with a hard shell to protect them... but they lose that shell shortly after they reach the foliage in the trees and bushes. Foliage hides them so they don't need the hard shell anymore.
After we've had two earthquakes.... big enough to move mountains around..... and meteor showers.... and after we've lost a third of the trees and the grass.... and after we've had caves collapse on our heads.... and after a third of the sea, sea creatures, and ships have been destroyed.... and the sun has gone dark for a third of the daylight..... God sent someone to open a hole.
Out of the hole..... millions of cicadas.... loud... obnoxious cicadas. Normally cicadas only eat green.... they eat foliage.... but these are not going to harm anything green.... these critters are after human flesh.... but only non-believers.
Wait... I've only seen one group of humans sealed so far.... the 144,000. Does that mean all the other humans.... are fair game?
I would not think so.... see... I think the cicadas would be searching for a stench.... I think Believers would be too sweet for the cicadas. One God.... one sweet life.
One thing for sure.... they aren't killer cicadas. Those bitten will wish they could die.... but they won't.
Those who are bitten by the bugs from the abyss will live in agony for five months..... wait... is that five months human time or five months God's time?
When you google locusts coming out of the earth.... you see cicadas.
