But don't freak out over tap just yet...

The tap water she used for the sinus rinse came from an RV's water system at a campground in Texas, according to the case report.

This is why @Monello and I always used jugs of water and didn't trust the campground water to not kill us or even give Apollo poop distress.

I was thinking that it should have bleach put in it and the lines flushed.
At a minimum, but not always enough. If so interested, do a search for rv water tank maint.

I've been using RVs since I was a teen (not so much recently....), never once drank from an onboard tank, never trusted it. Never had issues with the park/campsite water.

Wondering if it was the campground water or their water lines in the RV.
Most likely the on board tanks.

Active campgrounds move a lot of water through there lines. Seasonal campgrounds can have issues when they reopen. The lines don't get flushed sufficiently upon reopening. Because nobody has time for that task.

Also I don't like how close the poop cleanout and freshwater input is. I want an RV when I retire, but I doubt I will ever poop in it.
When I was at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, there was an old guy there that was on a gurney. I think he was almost as tall from mattress pad to belly button as he would have been standing up.

There was something wrong with his innards that prevented him from pooping. I talked to him a few times, and felt really bad for him. Apparently, he died before they could do whatever it was they needed to do in order to try to unblock him. He said it was probably something he picked up in Borneo or Burma, or one of those places.; parasites, or something. I can't remember.

He was in enough pain that I have to believe that it was a relief when he passed.
