Malfunction w/ the fence...lightning during the storm yesterday evening/last nite damaged it.

i thought you guys didn't let people who had electrical fences take in dogs. I had heard someone say that. I thought you had to have a fenced in yard (meaning a regular either wood or chainlink fence) as electrical can go at any given time.

I hope you guys get the dog back and he didn't get too scared or hit by a car with all the traffic that goes through that area or run off too far away.

Who said it was an electrical fence?? It was a chain link fence that got damaged by a lightning strike from a storm. I hope he makes it back safely too, thanks.

We take "invisible fences" on a case by case basis, but that's not the type of fence it was. It was an electric 'closing' gate that was hit by lightening.

Thanks for the good wishes.

Someone's dog gets loose and this is the first thing you think of? Really? Seems a little biatchy for someone who has so many old posts complaining about their own dog. And cat. And just about everything else. It probably isn't a good idea for you to be throwing stones since your own house is definitely made of glass.

Oh and for the record, chainlink fences are made of metal and can be blown apart by a lightning strike....

Hopefully he comes back on his own.....

When I was working for a kennel years ago, they had an electric gate that opened on it's own one night (lightning surge). Got there to open up for the day and there was a ####load of deer on the grounds. So much for play time that day, LOL.

*bump* No word of any recent sightings of Beezle...we had volunteers looking yesterday during the day/evening/nite. I'm sure he's scared. :frown:

If you're out and about, pls keep your eyes peeled for him. He was last seen on N Essex Drive early yesterday morning. He's shy around men, if spotted pls call 301-904-0653. THANKS!

If anyone spots Beezle, please do not try to approach him but call 301-904-0653. Beezle is not mean but he is timid and will run from someone he does not know.

I had a beagle growing up that got away from us that was gone for months and then came walking up the driveway like she had never left. I'll keep my eyes open also.

Just got a call that Beezle was seen yesterday at St. Mary's Landing Complex, it's off Great Mills Road/Pegg Road - that's right behind the Self Storage so it appears he is now staying in that area, please keep your eyes open - IF you see him call 301-904-0653 AT ANY TIME and I will head that direction.

Please don't approach him he will most likely run off.

Thanks!

I am in Suburban Estates right through the woods. I will keep my eyes peeled. How 'bout if you took a blanket or something with his or your scent on it and put it in the area he is running in? It might help him stay contained to that area. Just a thought.
