RFK Jr as a third party candidate?

How might that turn out?

I only like him - a very little. I disagree with him more than agree with him. But I like that he is willing to stick his neck out and tell the rest of the party to go pound sand. He's not a far lefty like the rest of his party. He's a lot more middle of the road, He's against illegal immigration and is for secure borders.

I can see his appeal as an alternative to the two alternatives whom at this point, are shoo-ins for their party's nominations.

But being a Dem, I can only see that he will draw MORE from Biden than Trump, should he run as a third party.
Meaning - if he doesn't win outright - he just ensures another win for Trump, and once again, a Republican will win without anywhere near a 50% plus vote.

Can you imagine the head explosions around the country if RFK Jr hooked up with Trump as VP??? :killingme
Trump and RFK are VERY DIFFERENT, and a good deal of Trump's base is VERY conservative.
I can't see that benefiting either one.

I was just reading an article describing voter sentiment - about both major candidates. Easily a third do NOT want either Biden OR Trump.
And it breaks fairly evenly in each party - a third in each party don't really want the front-runner.

Both supporters of each want to vote for their guy, but at some level - for vindication. Trump voters feel he was robbed and also think he's the only one they can trust to fight against the Washington establishment. At some point - I kind of agree with this. There's this thing in Washington where idealists come in, all full of piss and vinegar - and before long, they're just like eveyone else. Trump wasn't. I remember a writer I used to read, who described the boldness of ANOTHER writer he admired - and he said this guy was the kind of guy who would tell a room full of booing people they were all wrong. Trump is like that.

Biden - he's the anti-Trump vote. No one actually WANTS the guy. If they say they are, they're playing Emperor's New Clothes - they know he sucks, but they can't bring themselves to admit it. And they don't want the alternative, because they want SOMEONE who can beat Trump. If RFK gains traction - he COULD beat Biden in the nomination. Remember that Johnson left the primaries early - probably because RFK Sr. was expected to win.

Who knows? We're all talking Biden Trump rematch - and it might be RFK vs. DeSantis - or someone else. Remember back in 2015, everyone thought Jeb was a lock for the GOP.

Depending on the other options, I could see myself voting for either. This morning I also heard that Cornelle West as a possible spoiler.

Democrats need not apply with me. I don't even look at them because if they weren't psychos they wouldn't be bearing the psycho designation. Not to mention - ugh, Kennedy. That's a double whammy for me.

And you deranged Democrats running him down - you know damn well if he was the nominee you'd bend over and french kiss his butthole. You do as your masters tell you.

Well I did look up the whole climate change thing where he said that corporations like Exxon and Koch should be put to "corporate death".

Yeah, he's nuts. So there's that.
