RG III's next team?

So, with Romo and Bree's down for what looks like long injuries, and, no doubt, more to come, does Robert get a consideration somewhere else? He's still an amazing athlete and he's not the worst QB in the league. OK, he is the worst QB in the league but someone has to be!

So, does some coach somewhere, maybe a Chip Kelly, see where maybe they can take his raw talents, some film of his decent long passing and maybe make a workable concoction?

Or, is he simply done?

Cousins seems well on his way to playing well enough to put an end to all but the 'RG III over team' die hards so, that settles that.

Cowboys aren't going to even think about him..... Besides, he is carrying $16 million option... F That!

Right but isn't that negotiable? As I understand it, if the Skins keep him they have to pay that. They can't get out of it. If he is hurt and can't pass his physical by March 1 or so, they have to pay that. So, they could just cut him and a prospective team would simply say "We're interested at this number and not that one..." Yes? No?

Go Rams!
I don't think even Philly wants him, they would probably resign Tebow if something were to happen. You would have to be desperate for a quarterback to sign someone who's both injury-prone and have what is pretty much $16 mil in "worker's comp" payments (getting paid for injury).

A smart team won't have anything to do with thim. A desperate team might. Tebow doesn't bring half the baggage Bob drags around.

Yeah. Just a trade would exercise that buyout. As soon as he is cleared from the concussion, they can cut him.

Dallas just signed Matt Cassel.

If RGIII and Tim Tebow weren't so so damned arrogant they could both be pretty good players at different positions.

There is no position bob would be good at long term. His body type stands out so much because the NFL has no body types like that. That sprinter/basketball style body rarely makes it in the nfl. It's not strong enough to take the pounding nor strong enough to take the lifting needed to bulk it up.

Some basketball players make the transition to the NFL quite nicely. Antonio Gates & Tony Gonzales come to mind. Decades earlier they often tried to pick track stars and make them wider receivers or punt returners. That didn't work out so well most of the time. Bob Hayes was the exception. Reynaldo Nehemiah and Jimmie Hines. Willie Gault was a track star but he played football in college.

Bob seems more content to just post to his twitter account. It's mostly nonsense like this cryptic quote:

When the hate don't work they start telling lies...
I guess celebrating that your team won with your teammates is isolating yourself #HTTR

You'll note my use of the word 'rarely'. Gates s a LOT more Charles Barkely than Kevin Durrant. And Gonzalez also played football in college, as you know, and he looked it. Robert looks like he played basketball and track in college, not football. Point being this talk of him playing any other position is non sense. Like MOST track stars who didn't play football, his career as a speedy skill guy would last about as long as the first time he was thrown to across the middle in traffic and however long until he could get up, if at all. He CAN'T avoid big contact as it is in the ONE position, besides kicker, where ALL the rules favor helping you and you're SUPPOSED to avoid big hits. There is NO doubt he has the heart of a lion, a courageous dude but he has the brains of a lion to go with it.

his body, if he is gonna survive in the NFL, is a at QB IF he can ever come to grips with NOT putting his swing man body in the paint, so to speak.

Would he be good as a back blocker for the punt team, at least holding up NYG #23? Great start for the bob3's......
