Three schemes were uncovered in the US between 1991 and 1997 in which ricin was intended to be used in murder. The most notorious of these involved a separatist organization in Minnesota that plotted to assassinate a local U.S. marshal by dosing the doorknob of his home with the poison.
Since most people don't lick doorknobs, I guess these things are poisonous when touched.

Our kids hated commercial baby food. We tasted it ourselves and it was pretty gross. For a while we used a food grinder to make our own. But we found they preferred it cut into little chunks, because they could pick them up with their fingers.

None of my kids were ever averse to commercial baby food. But with our little one now, we've started getting these new little meals. They come in the same type of container as chef-boy-ar-dee lunches.... the little can things made of plastic.

He chows down on those bad-boys.

And I tried some of it myself.

Tastes like real food. Not bad at all. I almost had a can of turkey stew myself.
