I sure would

Like to see someone really make that location happen. The last attempt there was horrible.

They are right around the corner for me.

Is that Rick from the Cheesesteak place, or is he still at Chiefs??

According to their website, Rick Toth will be operating the restaurant so that would be a yes to the first part. As to the second part, I assume he is no longer at Chiefs or won't be for much longer but that isn't clear from the website.

From the website:

Rick's Riverside Restaurant

To Our Friends/Customers,

It is with great pleasure that we are pleased to announce that Rick Toth will be operating the restaurant at Dennis Point Marina & Campground. Currently the head chef of Chief's Restaurant in Tall Timbers, Rick and his family have been in the restaurant business in St. Mary's County for years. They most notably owned and operated the Oakwood Lodge, near Piney Point on the shores of the Potomac. Founded by Rick's father, Frank Toth, Rick was the head chef at Oakwood until the building was destroyed by Hurricane Isabel. At Dennis Point, Rick and his family hope to recreate the recipe that made Oakwood a St. Mary's County icon for years: excellent, reasonably priced food matched with unparalled waterfront ambiance. Rick intends to continue serving many of the local seafood dishes that make Chief's such success as well and expand the catering options at Dennis Point. In addition, Rick hopes to maximize use of the outdoor waterfront deck to fill the void in St. Mary's County for a water oriented restaurant/ bar entertainment destination.

We are extremely lucky and excited to have Rick and his family come to Dennis Point, and feel this is another very important step in our quest to make Dennis Point the premier campground and marina in the Mid-Atlantic region. We will keep you apprised as Rick's plans unfold. Best regards,

Rick's Riverside Restaurant | DENNIS POINT, a world away | WDP

Good luck Rick and family!

Ricks Riverside

Figured second time would be a charm and went back to Rick's after very slow service the first time. It was my daughter's 6th birthday and the day before mother's day. we waited 30 minutes for drinks, at 1 hour 10 minutes we decided to go but were told our food was ready, 10 minutes later still no food. Rick came out to talk but all he did was give excuses that "he only got the ticket 20 minutes ago." three sets of people came in ate and left while we were sitting there. Finally 1 hour and 20 minutes after we came in food arrived in styrofoam to go dishes and they had not made any of my daughters food nor the substitute fries as they had run out of coleslaw. When we got home we found that we did not get the squash either and asparagus was substituted without our notification. My poor daughter ate my grilled flounder while I made her mac and cheese which Rick's was unable or unwilling to make for her in the hour and 20 minutes we were there. Unfortunately she choked on bones in the flounder and vomited up my meal into the container so I ate only the salad. I am glad we did not have to call 911. Food is good but unless you are a personal friend or regular the service is worse than poor. Service recovery is non existent, not even a dessert or money off the meal offered. good luck.
