Ridge VFD and Rescue Squad

Does anyone have any updates as to how they are holding up? Do they have the gear they need?

It seems everyone is talking about hospitals, and Dr offices, but these are the guys (and gals) with first contact.

Lastly, their fundraising has probably ground to a halt.. can somebody provide a way to donate?

ridgevfd.org is their website but I don't see anything there about donating.

They call me ... Sarcasmo
I know that 7th Dist VRS Aux are taking donations via regular snail mail. Over here most everybody knows or is related to someone in one of the auxiliaries so we just hand them a check.

I shouldn't have been specific to Ridge.. I should have posted for ALL local VFD and Rescue Squads. Thanks!

Help them start a Go Fund Me campaign on Facebook.
I would say right now, social media is being heavily used.
It's one place where people seem to be trying to connect a need with a resource.
Saw a call from "First Responders" in Leonardtown looking for food delivery for 10
Musicians doing online - pop up - concerts. Phillip Michael Parsons was live from Last Drop the other night. Obviously no audience

As long as supplies last the Fire Depts. and EMS companies get restocked what they use from St. Marys Hospital after they drop a patient off. That may have changed but Im not sure. Each dept also orders their own supplies, but Im sure no one was prepared for what has happened.

We are not getting our PPE replacement supplies from the hospital. We get what we can from the county and from community donations.
