Riding in SOMD

My daughter (age 12) & I are looking for a place in Southern MD to ride horses for the day.

We don't have horses... no time! But we both love to ride. (Especially my daughter!) She has had lessons and was competing in shows.

Is there a place near that offers non-horse owners a day of trail riding?
I know of a place in Virginia that does this.

We're in Charles County, but we'll go to St. Mary's & Calvert if we need to.

Most places like that have closed down but I just recently saw an ad where they mentioned hour leases. I'll have to look to see where it was.

Check out http://www.greenwellfoundation.org/ -- they might have something for you. It's been a few years since I was down that way for riding, so you'd have to call for more info. Beautiful area, regardless!
