So, they standard(stock) ringtones and notification tones SUCK on this phone...

Anyone know how to get some ringtones of the net, besides going through verizon and paying for them... I know of 2-3 sites that has free ringtones, but when I send them to my phone, I haven't figured out how to save the file as a ringtone or what not...

An yes, I'm still learning how to use this phone... Any 411 is appreciated

If you press and hold on any sound file, there should be an option that makes it into a ringtone. Then you go to the area where you change your ringtone and you'll see the new one in the list.

Does you phone have a Micro-SD slot? Does it have the ability to play MP3?

Use your PC to edit any sound you want, or convert any clip or sound into a short MP3 file, load it on a Micro-SD card and slide it into the phone. The phone should allow you to select from the files on the Micro-SD card to use as ringtones.

I have also hacked my phone to allow me load files via my computer, because I did NOT have memory card slot. Something Verizon charges to add as a feature, but was a feature that came with the phone OEM. Recent rulings say that is NOT illegal. BUT, I wouldn't recommend it for most, its complicated and if you mess it up, you BRICK your phone and this voids the warranty as well. So you're SOL if you mess up your phone hacking it.
