Onebdzee is a road warrior. Not an iron butt ride but started out at 9, got back at 7:25. 340 miles, started out chilly, got hot, traffic jams, shredded truck tire shrapnel, 2 miles on the shoulder passing traffic, Bay Bridge twice, traffic light after traffic light, back to cool, dark, 75 mph down Rt 4 on the home stretch.

Nice ride.

Big Grouch
PIKESVILLE, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police Sgt. Julio Valcarcel scans the midmorning traffic on Interstate-695 near Pikesville, then narrows his gaze onto a Ford Expedition passing on the shoulder.
"Alert three!" he shouts, activating his cruiser's lights and siren before pulling over the driver to issue a warning.

I never saw Maryland State Police Sgt. Julio Valcarcel today.
Nor did I, but we just went to St. George's Island and back. Maybe he wasn't there?

Is passing on the shoulder now legal??
You can get away with it if you have an understanding officer and a hearty "It's air cooled and was over heating"

We were forced to pull over and flip someone off today. That was fun.

That seems a common occurance for you. We went through 2 states, multiple cities, 340 miles, and didn't have the first problem with cars. Only problem was a truck shredded a tire and littered the road with chunks just over a rise and we were going 70.

Indian Bridge Road. I was doing close to 50, speed limit was 40, rednecks wanted to go 60. Got on our tail and tried to pass on the shoulder. We pulled over. I'm going to sell the baby bike so I'm forced to ride the big one. Not safe on the little bike.
