I counted 7 cases of roadkill this morning on my way to the office. Seems like alot was there a full moon recently? What gives?

Actually, I looked out the window last night and the moon looked pretty close to full!! The backyard was really lit up!

The full moon started on Tuesday (I think) so yeah...there was a full moon recently.

On 249 near the fire house this morning someone hit a skunk and it was so bad it made my eyes water and my throat hurt. I would hate to have to wash that car!!!!

HS Teacher of mine used to say large amounts of roadkill meant a rather cold winter ahead. All the animals were heading towards 95 to Florida.

I've seen two baby deer out on the side of Rt 4 between Broomes Island and Ball Road every night this week.

I've hit squirrels, turtles, raccoons, ground hogs, possums, birds.....thankfully no deers yet! (knock on wood) but lately I've been only hitting butterflies....wtf?

Worst roadkill...correction, garage kill. My dad is backing out of the garage and hears a *pop*. Thinking he had ran over a nail, he got out to see if there was any damage.

He had backed over a poor little turtle in the garage. He got out and said it broke his heart because it was bleeding to death a probably in a tremendous amount of pain.

There was a guy in a pickup in front of me at the 4/235 intersection with a dead pig hanging out the back of his truck! I doubt it was roadkill, but it was pretty gross!
