It's as much a rock ballad as Elvis Presley is....

Rock has had many different faces through the decades... and rock ballads aren't always about how great love is or how horrible love is.

If you don't agree with the choices, why not suggest your own?

I believe part of his point is, "Don't fear the reaper" is hardly a "ballad" while Elvis's is totally a ballad.

Also "In the Ghetto" by Elvis qualifies too.

Eh, it may or may not be a ballad, but apparently 2 people feel that it is and it is one of the greatest... and that's not my vote which has made it 2.

i really like some of those songs but are they really Rock ballads? i love simon and garfunkel but i'm not sure i would consider it rock.
