State Police Rockville Barrack Partners With Allied Agencies To Address Aggressive Driving, Street Racing In Montgomery County

(ROCKVILLE, MD) — On Tuesday, troopers from the Maryland State Police Rockville Barrack joined officers from the Gaithersburg City Police, Rockville City Police, Montgomery County Police and Maryland Transportation Authority Police to conduct a traffic initiative in response to citizen complaints of excessive noise from modified exhaust systems, aggressive driving, and speeding.

The initiative, which took place on Rockville Pike (MD 355) yielded the following results:·

  • 42 Citations
  • 101 Warnings
  • 41 Safety Equipment Repair Orders

This multi-agency effort is one of several that have occurred over the past year to address aggressive, distracted and impaired driving in Montgomery County. Similar initiatives are planned throughout the summer.
