I bought a sectional from them too. We had a problem with one of our cushions after they delivered it. They sent someone to look at it. Well that guy said they'd get a new cushion and call me when it was in. After a month of waiting, I called Roomstore and they told me that the guy said there was nothing wrong with the cushion. At this point I was pretty mad. After paying $1500, I expected to have a nice new couch. Not one with a sagging cushion. Finally after a few phone calls, a month later the problem was resolved. It was pretty ridiculous.
At least you got it resolved. I bought a sectional from Family Furniture and when it was delivered, noticed a stain on one of the cushions. I pointed it out but it wasn't a huge deal so I kept the cushion. A few months later, I noticed that the sofa had been patched in a few places-the connection where the arm rest and leg of the sofa meet, and on one of the recliner seats. I have a hard time with replacing buttons let alone patching microfiber so it wasn't a fix of mine that I had forgotten about.
I called Family Furniture and was told that I would need to talk to the manager who wasn't available. After leaving multiple messages, I finally got a hold of the manager who told me that my purchase protection expired a week prior and that the store no longer had to do anything about it.
I was less than thrilled. I tried explaining that I had been trying to contact him for about a month with no return calls. He merely said that he never recieved any messages about my issue and said that if I had come in with the damaged merchandise, it would have been resolved that day.
Admittedly, with hindsight being what it is, after getting the run around a few times I should have gone in person but I trusted people to do their job. So two lessons were learned from that experience. 1-Never buy again from Family Furniture. 2-Complain in person!
