rose hill rd construction

Anyone know what they're building on Rose Hill Rd in La Plata next to the Thomas Stone site? Looks like it's probably going to be a big residential development.

I usually come home that way but haven't been down there in a couple of weeks. Are they clearing/digging a large area? I thought maybe they were just clearing trees to widen the road.

They have piles of culvert pipe, the land they're clearing is away from the road, and they have a silk fence all along the land. It looks like they may be dropping in quite a few homes, starting at the end furthest from route 6.

Merrick Homes is building another subdivision at that location, similar to Agricopia in La Plata. Big homes on small lots.

I sure hope they're planning on widening the road as well. That is not a good road to pull in and out of traffic.
