But I will bet LEO will be on Great Mills Road Saturday morning with radar where the speed limit drops from 40 to 35. Or their other favorite spot on 235 just south of gate 2 at the county park where the speed limit is 45. Because speed is the issue, on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and these 2 places are the most dangerous areas in the county...

It's not that they can stop vehicles there, it's who's likely to be in them.
They can search those vehicles for left over merchandise from the night before.

Yep, becuase at the end of the day, the people want RESULTS!!!! And you cant prove action without statistics. And you get those by pulling over lots of cars. And running radar in those places gets you lots of cars. And you also are more likely to nab idiots with drugs on them or out on warrants.

So, is enforcement done so as to increase safety? Why yes. Every dope dealer/drunk driver/person on warrants they take off the streets makes citizens safer. From criminals. What you need to do is convince people that we care more about getting the friken cell phone drivers off the road, and that we are okay with fewer citations as long as more of them are citations for driving while using the damn phone.

^^ This ^^ We need another MADD, but in this case MAC - mothers against cells. But I guess because EVERYONE has a cell phone and not everyone likes alcohol, we really don't want enforcement against distracted driving.

Before we go full out on which type of driver needs to be purged, I'd like to hear how the yahoo ended up going the wrong way.
To me, that's a whole lot of stupid to do that - or drunk - or both.

I know the most common cause of crossing lines I see these days is phone users. Used to be minivan momma trying to retrieve juniors sippy cup or smack his azz. But it's pretty easy to spot them, they share a lot of indicators with drunks. With the exception that drunks were mostly confined to the afternoon/evening hours, while you can see Ol' Celly anytime anywhere. Going 5 under and not over 60 years old? Most likely on the cell. Hugging the right side with even more swerve to the right when there is oncoming? Same. Drifting back and forth between the lines? Yep, there's a phone involved. As a rider, I watch other people on the road like a hawk. Or maybe more like the one mouse at a raptor convention.

Second most dangerous driver is the failure to yield. Doesnt matter if there's 1/2 mile of clear road behind me as I go 60mph, they are fine pulling out in front of me.
