Very bad accident from the initial reports with multiple personal injuries.

If you are heading from La Plata towards St. Mary's they will reroute you from 234 to Trinity Church Road. You can take a right onto Ryceville to the end. Take a right onto 236 and that will take you back out to 234 bypassing the accident area.

I was on 234 heading for the bridge, came across this mess. It was obvious we weren't going anywhere, so everyone turned around and took side roads to get back to 6.

The local radio news said the driver was a 71 year old woman who left the roadway hit a guardrail flipping and rolling the vehicle and she was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene. It didn't mention any other vehicles or deaths.

The driver, later identified as Margarita Gunva Hardesty, 71 of Ft. Pierce, Florida was ejected prior to final rest and pronounced deceased at the scene.
