Rt. 235 Road Construction

Anyone know what they put all those barrell-style, orange and white road construction things up 235 between Hollywood and Mechanicsville on both sides of the road for? It's obvious they are going to do something on the road; any clue what? The road through there seems fine, and I can't imagine they are widening it to three lanes or anything.

Sorry, I don't know what is going on either. But sometimes I wonder if they just put them up so they can raise speeding ticket fines because orange barrels = construction zone = double fines.
