Sad Thing...

Today we were driving home and as we neared the bridge the traffic slowed down a ton. We saw a Jeep Cherokee up ahead that looked broken down, yet it wasn't pulled off to the side. We wondered why not, and then thought maybe they'd blown a tire and were unable to move. Traffic rolled really slowly through, as we had to go into the oncoming lane to pass the Jeep. As we got closer we realized what was up...there was a dog underneath the Jeep and it had apparently gotten hit. It was under the middle of the front, and not under a wheel, so it probably got bumped head on by the vehicle. We could see it moving around a bit, but it looked too frightened or hurt to come out - there were a few cars stopped and people trying to talk to the pooch. Very sad, I sure hope the pup was okay.

hopefully someone called animal control and the pup didnt have to suffer for very long.

What did this pup look like? Ive seen a long hair Benji looking dog running loose around Rt. 4 for about week . I stopped one day, and the dog wanted nothing to do with me, ran off in the woods.

That is sad but hopefully they can find the owner so he/she can be held accountable. I can't stand pet owners that just let their animals run free (like the people down the street whose black lab chases and constantly runs in front of any car that passes)

Nope, it actually a cute pic. But if that little critter was in house, it would soon turn into Precious new play toy

It had whitish hair and looked like a scruffy mutt. I hope he made out okay.
