I have just finished the initial touches to a yahoo group for Stay At Home Dads/Fathers of St Mary's County. I am having a hard time trying to seek out all the men out there who are in my shoes so I hope this the group may be a good start. My hope is that a community network can be established and some form of working relationship with the local Mom's Clubs. There is little I can do on my own, so I am hoping for some help.

Please help me in spreading the knowledge of this group. If the group turns out to be unsuccessful - I will eventually delete it and free up space for someone else on the Yahoo servers.

Well, It looks like I'm the first to join! I think it's a great idea..especially knowing that the stay at home mom groups prefer keeping the men from joining. Our kids need to socialize and have fun with other children, that's what it's all about.

Congratulation on building your Stay at Home Dads Club! I hope it will work out! I will spread the words about it for you. I hope you will get enough members to join to form like the MOMS Club. That is how we got started. We built Moms Club by asking around and have enough interested to keep it going.

I know it is alot of work, but it is one good way to get members to join the Stay at Home Dads Club (DADS Club). I know Stay at Home Dads need support just like Stay at Home Moms does too. We help each others out in time of need such as offering meals to new Moms who just had a baby. Dads can offer meals to New Dads as well, so that the way MOMS and DADS does not have to worry about fixing meals, but to take care of themselves and the new baby.

Well, the SAHD Yahoo group is off to a nice start. Membership is starting to grow - slowly - but growing none the less. Thanks for everyone who have helped to spread the word around about the group - please dont stop!!

Thanks StrawberryGal for your words of encouragement and help! I have not had a chance to contact the local Mom's club yet but intend to soon.

The program will be aimed at those parents who are looking for a daytime playgroup Monday thru Friday for about 8-10hrs a day, perhaps allowing these parents to make a weekly donation to the program.

This would be an acrostic poem. An acrostic uses the letters in a topic word to begin each line. All lines of the poem must relate to or describe the topic word. I don't think you can use ... I = in "in" does not describe the topic word.
