Sake ?

The restaurant, not the drink....

I haven't heard much about it since it opened. Anybody frequent the place? Comments, good or bad?

I've only been there for lunch and it was decent food - buffet sushi and ala carte menu and okay service.

I thought the same thing at first, but actually they put out a cold veggie sushi bar and cooked sushi bar. At lunch time, there is such turnover that as soon as it goes out it's gone. It's actually not bad.

It's actually pretty good. You should take me to lunch there next week and try it.

Is it dim lighting with candles and wine that isn't boxed? If not, no deal... If you want good sushi, you let me introduce you to Sushi John at Sakura in P. Fred...:buddies:

Sake buffet sushi isn't as good as Okada or Sakura, but it's not bad either.

Thanx. I just hadn't heard boo about the place from anyone, I've never been there, had no idea how their stuff was.

Is it expensive? I only like expensive restaurants.

re: Sake

It's quite good. Hubby & I go for lunch when we're over the bridge. We enjoy sushi but not the prices at dinner time and at places like Sakura. It's all fresh and the establishment is clean. The service is fine, quick enough, accommodating, not overly talkative/friendly. Give it a try. I don't think you'd be disappointed.

As far as sushi is concerned, you get what you pay for.... I would rather dig a little further in my pockets...
