What files are you looking for? When you plug it into your home computer, your phone shows up like another drive. From there you just go in and access whatever files you need. Are you looking for pictures, music, downloads, ??. I know some of the folder names can be a little confusing, like DCIM (photos) for instance.

Mine does not do that. I'm just trying to get to show up as an external drive when I plug it in.

Is the usb cable good? Sometimes they crap out, try connecting something else to the pc using the cable.

I use Win 7. Just plug in the USB cable and open My computer. On mine there is an icon for the phone.

The Media Player is the phone. Open it, and there should be 2 sub-folders, one for the SD card and one for the phone internal memory.

No drivers needed.

That's certainly a possibility. It charges fine but the data line(s) could be bad.

The original data cables are marked like the picture, the charging ones aren't

When you plug the phone in you should get a message on the drop down menu on the home screen. Click on the USB message and change it to mass storage device.

I don't get that pop up. I went through quite a few fixes last night and still nothing. I'm thinking more that it's got to be the cable or connector that's bad.
