Thanks.

You just talked me out of it.

sirius better price and no stupid extra packages to deal with. Great content even if your not a stern fan. Plus they have streaming over the web so you can log in and listen to your music at work or wherever else for that matter.

XM has that, too. I don't know what extra packages you're talking about. I just have a basic connection, no frills.

I thought they were both pretty comparable, no? Or at least that's what I've seen advertised.

I like my xm. They do have an extra package which I don't have. Coverage is excellent, except when you go through a tunnel or behind a large building. Sirius would be the same. If I lived in an area with a lot of tall buildings I'd probably get annoyed. Xm is also on Direct TV now, for what that's worth.

I am so very blessed
I would avoid Sirius just because they carry Stern. I love my XM, and have had no problems with it at all. As weird as this sounds, having XM makes me wish I had a longer commute so I could enjoy the tunes for a longer period of time. :ohwell:

Sirius seems to have better programming. NASCAR starting in 2008(?) NFL and a bunch of other stuff. I do like XM, comedy, talk, and stuff. I suppose you could take the free trial offer and see.

Enjoying life!
Does anyone listen to Opie and Anthony on XM? I listen to Stern every morning, but I also know that his move to Sirius will just add a bunch of fcuks and sihts to what he does already. O&A were way funnier before the got canned. Are they still good today? TIA

I do sometimes, yea they are funny. I am not a big Stern fan

Thanks. I am leaning towards Sirius because I like the music they play better than XM. I have DTV and have not been impressed with the XM stations they have.

Those of you with Sirius - are they any deadspots down here?

John Z

if you will
I will have a tough time choosing when I make the jump, which really isn't any time soon.

XM:
- Ron & Fez
- O & A

Sirius
- Stern
- Don & Mike simulcast (future rumor)

Same price last i checked.. 12.95 a month for service.. XM has better coverage.. 9 satellites compared to 2 and if you want MORE receivers.. ie wifes car, son/ daughter car the extra recievers are $6 a month. Roady2 is now $29 for the complete car set, and it's EXCELLENT for motorcycles, boats, ATV's. DIRECTV now has free XM radio for their music channels, AND XM also has the streaming online service.

Their Comedy Channels are EXCELLENT.

BADGIRL.. you're welcome

Stern is SOOOO 10 years old. I tired of his stupid human antics YEARS ago.

STEVE what channel is that show on??

Forgot.. on both systems, ESPECIALLY if you are up in Baltimore or DC, cassette interface is MUCH better then the FM Modulator (direct feed into helmet speakers is the BEST)

A guy I used to work with at Pax had Sirius. He had no trouble anywhere. We drove to Halifax, Nova Scotia last year, and he was able to get a signal along the entire route. No drop offs anywhere.

I'll be getting Sirius shortly. I like their programming pretty much across the board. Stern is the only one I won't be tuning into. The NFL broadcasts will come in handy. They also have personal iPod type stuff coming out soon if it isn't out already.

Looks as though they made some changes to their structure. Before they had like playboy and a couple other channels as extra fees a month if you wanted em. cost is the same for extra recievers. I have no dead spots with mine and I have had the removable ones and now Im using a clarion indash system which is alot nicer.

Dont forget Sirius also has Martha and Eminem too LOL.

Both services are comparable. I chose Sirius well because it was chosen for me over 2 years ago.
