We can hope this will bring the price down a bit. I only wish it would bankrupt the speculaters who drove the price up, but unfortunately it probably wont hurt them.

Who is going to refine this extra production? My understanding is refining is almost at 98% capacity now.

Well we got plenty of oil and gas but maybe this will drive the price the Chineese and Indians are willing to pay down, thus driving our prices down.

The fact is we can pay more than them which is why there are no shortages here, over there its a different story.

I am not so sure how we can afford it more than China. After all they own most of our money.

China subsidizes the price of Gas. Demand for oil in china will remain high as long as the government offsets the price of the gas for everyone in the country. With the Olympics coming up, it is pretty certain that china will not change any of their policy's regarding the oil subsidies for a couple more months.

If the price of gas keeps going up china will not be able to afford all of the oil subsidizies which would greatly reduce worldwide demand.
