Saw a cool new traffic move this AM

So, coming down Great Mills Road about 6:50, heading towards Gate 2. We are stopped a little behind the old MacDonalds. Traffic is solid all the way to the gate. See a vehicle, that shall remain undescribed, get into the center left turn lane. From there, you can turn left into the parking lot for Millison Plaza, or go about 100 feet farther and turn left onto Shangri-La.

Not this winner. He actully goes through the intersection, across into the far side, where he's in the lane that is for folks going west to make a left onto Willows, then finds a hole and ducks back into the lane heading for Gate 2. Wow, I'm all for working traffic, but making your own lanes up through intersections is a bit much.

Yeah, okay.

Nothing new. See it every day on the drive to DC.

That's even better than what I saw yesterday. Heading north on 235, the light turned red at the Chancellor's intersection. A 1970-something orange VW Beetle made a quick right turn, left into the Chipotle lot, then back onto 235 to get around the red.

I guess he thought nobody would notice a bright orange bug with big roof racks & no bumper?

I see that one a lot, along with folks using that far right, dedicated turn lane, as a passing lane.
