Say a prayer

My wonderful hubby has given me a cold. It's the worst cold I've had in years. I went to work the first day and went home sick. I tried again yesterday and went home early because I just couldn't even think. Today I don't have to work but I wanted to do a Bible verse. But I can't decide anything and haven't come up with a good topic.

My nose is stuffed up, my throat hurts, I have a small fever, and now [since I smoke I'm sure] my chest is hurting with every cough. I have no strength.

So please say a prayer for me to get better....

TIA

Get well soon. I know what it's like being a smoker, and having a cold. Stupid really, if you think about it...we've both had cancer, and we smoke like idiots. Mucinex helps, but make sure you drink plenty of water to help thin that junk in your chest out.

I pray you will find the strength to stop smoking. That will help you be more healthy than you are now. Feel better soon lady. :huggy:

Strung Out
Splain PLEEZE...

My extensive research has PROVEN, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the mouth leads to the stomach and, in so doing, and and ALL germs that reside in your mouth, make there way into your digestive system increasing the likelihood, based on germ levels, frequency, other general health, nutrition and fatigue levels, of getting sick.

Plus, I read a pamphlet at my dentists that says germs take 24 hours or so to colonize in the warm, wet, protected spaces between your teeth and, in colonizing, obviously, that increases the volume of germ matter hence the downstream issues.

So, when we floss, according to the pamphlet, we disturb the colonization process and keep germ levels at much lower levels. So, if you disturb the growth of germs at least every 24 hours, which brushing does but, only where it reaches, ie, not on your gums between your teeth, with the mis-named dental floss (it should be gum floss) you're good to go.

I used to get at least a little run down every change of season and sick about once a year. Since I became 'of the faith' I have not gotten sick.

You can take it or leave it as you please but, there is 10 fold more science and fact in that pamphlet (plus my results as incontrovertible proof) than there is behind MMGCWC (Man Made Global Cool Warming Change)

That does sound reasonable. I work with an Oral Surgeon, and I'll ask him about that, and get back to you. I am a vitamin freak, and since taking vitamins geared toward the immune system, I've probably had a cold maybe 3 times in 8 years. So it can be because of that, that I rarely get sick. I read some where that smokers are the ones that call out of work more than the non-smokers, and I'm stupidly..a smoker. I honestly can't remember the last time I called out, or went home sick from work. Maybe 10 years?
