School bathrooms out of order

I do not know what to do at this point or even where I should start. At my kids school (St. Mary's County Public School) an entire set of bathrooms for both genders has been out of order for almost an entire year. It was annoying last year but I assumed they would fix the issue over the summer. Apparently they did not because when I went to the PTA meeting I noticed they were still out of order. Do I call the school and ask what the deal is or go straight to the Board of Ed. Almost an entire year seems a little ridiculous to me.
Or maybe I am just being unreasonable. What do other parents think? :ohwell:

Be unreasonable, go/call the BOE, specifically Steve Whidden, SMCPS Director of Maintenance, and politely inquire as to when the problem will be fixed.

They call me ... Sarcasmo
Sounds like the same contractor that is "working" on Dr. Johnson Rd in Morganza.

They have to be getting complaints out the waz on this - Puggy can't be the only parent who's noticed and the principal at the school surely knows. So WTH? Bathrooms out of order at a public school for a whole freaking year?? That's way past the "polite inquiry" stage. And parents shouldn't have to call freaking maintenance for the school, that's ridiculous. Those are my tax bucks, too, and I'd love to know what they're spending it on besides keeping the schools in reasonable working order.

They need to be held publicly accountable, so write a letter specifying the problem and send it not only to the BOE, but to every local media outlet as well. Here you would send it to news(at)somd.com. Hit the Enterprise, the BayNet, SMNewsNet, County Times, and every other newspaper/site/etc you can think of.
