School Bus Accident

Ok, so now I get a call from my daughter sitting in a school bus (coming from Northern High and Middle) at the Chaneyville Route 4 intersection (obviously schools in the northern part of the county had regualr dismissal). The bus next to hers has been in an accident and one of the policmen on the scanner is calling for help because "there are a lot of kids on this bus"!! Not a good day for a mother to be listening to the scanner! ANY information would be greatly appreciated!!

My kids are both home safe and sound. Hope all goes as well for the car and bus that were involved!

School Bus Safety

Seat belts on buses "for the kids" would greatly increase their safety. Think about it, even tractor trailer drivers have them. The bus drivers themselves are required to wear them. But the kids that we value so much don't need it? And yet we wonder about their safety every time there is an accident? Something doesn't add up.
