*Mostly* - because they can. They get so many days to use, and they're using it.

That said, some parts of the county still look like hell. One day won't hurt.

Good thing this was not a money bet. Must be the side roads, there was about 300 ft of snow/ice on a back road on the base I had to drive through this morning.

A lot of side roads and school parking lots are covered in ice. Husband took son over to PHS to practice driving on snow and ice (recently got Learner's).

SMCPS has five "snow" days built into the school calendar. These are for full day closures. Two hour delay days don't count against the snow days.
