Do yourself or grandchild a favor and log on to Schoology and get everything set up now. The platform went live earlier today. We just went through the set up with komlet #2 and it did take about 15-20 minutes to set all the permissions etc. We were able to do a test Google meet so he gets familiar with those controls for when the time comes.

Yep learning stopped when the overhead's bulb burnt out or the chalk broke.

You telling me they have to be connected the entire time?

I remember getting snow day assignments back in 1986, I was doing one the day the Challenger blew up.

Easy fix, give them assignments ahead of time to do in the event of computer/internet problems.
