Here's a sample list from one of the schools. How much are you spending to get everything on your schools' supply lists?

scotch tape
tissues
2 packs #2 pencils
2 packs loose-leaf paper
crayons
Elmer’s glue
scissors
colored pencils
markers
black and white composition book
book bag

The paper, crayons, glue and composition book are all under $1.00. I bought glue for $.20 a piece and I think crayons were $.25. I've hardly spent anything on school supplies and was able to buy multiple items to keep at home!

besides, I would think that you would have at least some of that stuff left over from last year.

oh and even though it's not on the list, I highly recommend buying some index cards. I always strongly recommend to my students that they make flashcards with all new vocab.

It took me only $20 for my son's second grade list. He picked out a cheap $5 bookbag and all the supplies were on sale:shrug:
