Actually, it is originally Washington's Birthday. It later started getting referred to as Presidents day. They decided to throw the other white guys a bone.

I have that schools out thingy that sends the messages to my cell phone as soon as information is updated.

Well, Spring Ridge Middle has a calendar that's a little off by a year but it lists as students returning on the 3rd.. possibly last years calendar?

I just talked to a friend of mine who is a teacher in St Marys and she said she hadnt heard different. the kids are going back to school tomorrow unless they have been slow to announce that they are not....

Here
If it's a year off then the 3rd makes sense because the 1st would have fallen on a Sunday last year and everybody would have taken off for the holiday on the 2nd.
