Doubt he'll be as successful next year.
I did have doubts, actually.
I was expecting the "panel of experts" to once again ignore drag racing (as the media normally does unless someone dies) and pick another NASCAR pretty boy.
Kind of like how the media has been rolling around in their saliva over Danica Patrick for four years even though women have been winning races and championships in Drag Racing for years.
While Danica won 1 entire race this year; Ashley Force (who is way hotter than Danica) won her first funny car event and made the Countdown to 1, Melanie Troxel won at Bristol over Ashley Force in an all female final round and Hillary Will won (Chicago I think). Will and Angelle Sampey also made the Countdown to 1.
Oh, and Laurie Cannister won the TA/FC IHRA World Championship, being only the 2nd woman to win a funny car world championship (Bunny Burkett was the first).
Did you hear NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, CNN and everyone else
over that? No.

Ashley should be touted more than she is. :shrug: Melanie and Hillary never will be, and Angelle Seeling/Savoie/Sampey changes her name so much, she's starting to run out of last names that start with the letter "s".
