WASHINGTON (AP) - A frog the size of a bowling ball, with heavy armor and teeth, lived among dinosaurs millions of years ago _ intimidating enough that scientists who unearthed its fossils dubbed the beast Beelzebufo, or Devil Toad.

WASHINGTON (AP) - A frog the size of a bowling ball, with heavy armor and teeth, lived among dinosaurs millions of years ago _ intimidating enough that scientists who unearthed its fossils dubbed the beast Beelzebufo, or Devil Toad.

The name comes from the Greek word for devil, Beelzebub, and Latin for toad, bufo (pronounced boo-foe).

Today boo-foe is the pronunciation for bullfrog!

Where are you going with this? I mean, I think I get where you're TRYING to go...but just because the continent were to have been NAMED Antarctica doesn't mean it were in the same geographic location as now...If it were simply closer to the equator at all it would be slightly warmer to much warmer than it is now...in antartica. :shrug:
