The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed Virginia to resume its purge of voter registrations that the state says is aimed at stopping people who are not U.S. citizens from voting.

Of course the three libtards on the court were all, "Nuh uh! We want illegal aliens to vote in our elections! Why do you think we let them in our country in the first place??"

AP, of course, is yabbuting all over the place. "Oh, some of the names purged were US citizens! :drama: (I mean, they were dead, but still...)"

I'd like to know who the federal judge was who said, "Nah, you can't take people ineligible to vote off your rolls." It always weirds me out that a state or even a President can do something, and some federal judge who has nothing to do with it, doesn't even live in the state, can overturn it. That seems wrong to me. It's like I build a fence around my yard and some HOA in Chicago rolls up on me - "You can't do that!"

I thought the judge had to have something to apply a ruling against in order to set a precedent. Someone being charged with something, someone suing something, etc.

I'm with you, they shouldn't be able to just block whatever they don't like. In fact, my actual understanding is that they don't have blocking powers at all. They can refuse to convict/enforce, basically nullifying something at their level. I.E. we will never convict someone of XYZ, therefore AGs don't bother charging XYZ, therefore police don't bother arresting. But the law is still on the books and someone in another jurisdiction or higher court could have their own opinion.

Just sneakin' around....
I thought I read where there was an existing law that said to remove voters it had to be no closer to the election than X, and they were well inside of X, so any removal was actually illegal. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting them removed, but if there was an existing law....

I believe VA has stated that the Gov's order to purge the rolls was outside the 90-day window. The purging carried into the 90-day period.

Youngkin's EO was issued on 7 August, which is exactly 90 days before 5 November. As I see it to be "within 90 days" the trigger date would have to have been 8 August to run afoul of the law.

Did Biden appoint any white Judges?

He wouldn't dare. His bestie was a real live KKK member; Gropes had to kiss as many black asses as he possibly could.

That's always interesting to me - black people voting for the party of slavery and the KKK. Jewish people voting for the party of Holocaust deniers and antisemites. Women voting for the party of rape and pedophilia. The power of the media - it has to be. People doing what the TV tells them to do.
