Scrapping a catalytic converter?

So, setting the Samurai up for a new exhaust system (Protip, never buy a used welder without making sure it works, darnit) and it's catalytic convertor is going away. I know they are worth a few buck, and called two places, both of which say they don't accept them. Any ideas?

Well, they do have the benefit of quoting you before you ship the darn thing.

Hope you are not in an area where they do Vehicle Emmission Test. That is part of the test

No testing in st Mary's, and it's tagged historic anyway
