Sea Grass

4-5 days of a relentless NE gale has deposited a wall of sea grass on our shoreline, the likes of which I've never seen before. And its densely packed from the wave action..can easily walk on top of it. It's also filled with crabs and small fish all wrapped up in there...gonna be a real stinker in a couple days.

True. We've had thick grass in the cove for quite a few years now...a decade at least. When it came back, it came back strong.

It's very difficult to move. And it is providing a nice erosion barrier for the rest of the winter just where it is. What of it that did make it in to the yard will be cleaned up and added to out compost piles.

I had a ton of a red grass washing up on my property this week.....the last couple of high tides took it home.....

I've got to work on my technique in the back creeks. My old sweet spots have been grassed over all season now for 2 years. Thank Goodness the flats have been productive.
