:yeahthat: ewww... I went to one of those seafood buffetts in Myrtle Beach. It was 35 per adult and 20 for the kids it said they had over 100 different seafood items crab legs, crab cakes, crab imperial, yada yada yada well all the items like crab cakes, imperial, etc.. were made w/ that imitation crab meat :barf: I was so pissed it was the worst food ever! I will never go to a seafood buffet again!!!
I went to that place myself last year very disappointed, cant recall the name. For seafood in Myrtle its Murrells Inlet.

You said you didn't mind traveling....Go across the Bay Bridge to exit 42 in Kent Island and go to Fishermens Inn....I think their crab cake is better than Stoneys....Both are good though....The place is a little pricy but it is well worth the drive...Go during the day so when you go across the bridge you'll see how nice the Chesapeake Bay is....
Or Annie's

Nothing will ever beat the old (I mean "Original") Evans Seafood!!! I can remember people from all over the east coast driving down there, just for dinner. Working there was a right of passage.... everyone had to work there at some point.... I can't believe it is gone! I know Bug's must be flippin' in his grave! RIP! OK, now that I am done... I do like Stoneys! Crab Dip and Crab Cakes..... yummy!

There are no good/great seafood places around here.

You'll find "all right" places though.

Nothing like Maine or Washington.

You're one of those 'glass half full' kinda guys, aren't ya?
lol.

Don't get me wrong.

Maryland crabs are the bomb. So are some crab cake sammiches...

But, I'm an island boy. I grew up diving for squid/octopus/lobsters. I grew up fishing for mahi mahi, aku, and ahi.

I will say though - I do love rockfish. Only just started eating it last year.
