Sears Home Repair Service...

For anyone looking for appliance repairs - other than something under warranty, do NOT call SEARS... I had a refrigerator go on the blink 2 months ago -- took them 2-3 times to get out to my house and look at it -- "technician was overbooked". Well what the heck...STOP SCHEDULING him for certain dates once he has 3-4 service calls... SO... i make the same mistake when my microwave went on the blink a month ago. Went online and booked Sears to come out -- picked a good date and time...all was good. got the usual 'night before reminder" that my service was set for the next day from 8am-5pm. So, i call the 800 # to get a better window of misfortune... they'll give you a 4 hrs block to wait for them vs. all day. They tell me it will be between 12-5pm. Okay. so next day - i sit...and sit ..and sit. at 4pm i called the 800#. Oh we're sorry - -the technician was overbooked... they proceed to tell me, oh yes, there is a note here - we regret to inform you that you will need to be -- YES< you got-- RESCHEDULED...the technician was overbooked! I said, and WHEN was someone going to call me and tell me????
SO... a week later, i reschedule online again -- and AGAIN...night before phone call came - i called to confirm the 4 hr time -- they hang up on me once they pull my ticket up. I called back -- and they proceed to tell me AGAIN... i'm sorry - you will need to be rescheduled. I asked WHY??? they say same thing - overbooked technician. I responded with
NO and NO. I"m not being rescheduled. They will need to cancel someone else as this is the 2ND TIME i've had this issue... blah blah blah ensued and there was nothing they could do for me there because they are just the schedulers. I demaned to speak to a supervisor. Spoke to one - just as incompetent as the first person. I was so furious. my kids were like, mommy, what is the matter??? They were very kind in giving me the address to Sears Corporate Headquarters where i could write my formal complaint -- but couldnt give me the phone number to the service department because they only had it on speed dial and it was after hours. SO... no fixed microwave as of yet... just fair warning - unless it's under warranty, do not expect to call Sears for repair and have them actually SHOW UP!!!! There HAS to be something that can be done about this..?? anyone else have this issue?? AND now who can i call to come fix my cabinet mounted over-the-range microwave?

I'm thinking more like 7 on your Side.... unbelievable how bad the customer service is.
BUT, the guy that showed up to look at my new fridge that is under warranty was great.... it was something REALLY stupid and i gave him a good laugh... thought okay, so i've completely embarassed myself for calling service for THIS... but thought, ah who cares, i'll NEVER see him again... laughed at it pretty good actually. Turns out - i'm sitting at a graduation party 2 days later for my cousin - and guess who walks into the party?? Yep...the fridge guy. my little one said, mommy isnt that the refrigerator guy that was laughing at us and you said we would never see again? bad part was i'd just told 15-20 of my relatives the story of my fridge incident... it was all a good laugh. So, not ALL sears service sucks...just getting one to actually show up is a trick!!

NOT Politically Correct!!

LOL, the YouTube VID got my dishwasher fixed, a call from a senior Sears VP to personally apologize and they sent me $300 dollars in cash gift certificates for Sears.

I did however clearly state to the Sears VP that I would not remove my Youtube VID until I saw a turnaround on their appliance repair service. 15,000+ members have visited the link and it amazes me how many work at Sears!!!
