Has anyone battled with Sears Service and won? If so, please tell me how you did it?!!
I bought a 42" LCD from Prince Frederick Sears. Within a month of theservice contract expiring, a row of pixels disappeared from the screen. Sears promptly sent a technician and they determine the tv would be replaced with a new one. I'm thinking, Great Service!
They gave me an additional year contract on the new tv. Within 1 month of THAT warranty expiring, the on/off button stopped working. So, I called Sears againa nd they scheduled an appointment at my home. They never showed up and when I called, they told me the appointment was cancelled becuase the technician was overbooked. No phone call from them, they just didn't show up.
So, I rescheduled the appt. but gave them my work address and phone # so I didn't have to take another day off. I told them I would take the tv to work with me. They never showed up. When I called agian, they told me the service address was set for my home, not my office. So, when theycalle dthe day of the appt. to confirm that I was home (Which I wasn't) they cancelled. SO....I asked for another appt, again at my office.
Next appointment....AGAIN, they showed up at my home and I had to reschedule.
Next appointment, I received a call at 3:00 and they confirmed the address at my office. They told me they were running behind and would be there by 6 pm. I waited until 7:15 and then calledSears.. I was told they cancelled becuase the technician was over booked. AAARRRGGHH! No phone call to tell me they were cancelling, they just didn't show up!
Long and short...I have scheduled 6 appointments to have this tv fixed, and each time, they they show up at the wrong place or don't come at all.
Has anyone had a problem with Sears? Do you know how to get results from sears?
