Does anyone have recommendations for home security systems such as what brand is best, etc.? I'm interested in one for my elderly parents and also want the emergency medical alert thing to be included. Thanks in advance.

Brinks has served us well. When we were shopping for systems ADT and Brinks came out. Brinks was the more impressive of the two.

We got my grandmother one a few years ago. We went through Brinks Home Security. Initial setup and install can be pricey, monitoring fees aren't too bad. if you can get past the upfront cost, the piece of mind is well worth the monitoring fees.

I have "Guardian."
Windows, doors, motion detector.
It doesn't have the emergency medical alert thing, but you will be provided with a "panic button" should you need anything....just push the button. :shrug:
