See who has viewed your Facebook profile

We've all seen the ads for a program that allows you to see who has accessed your FB profile.

It's a scam.

Can I see who's viewed my profile? There's a group or application claiming I can find out who has been viewing my profile.
Facebook does not provide applications or groups with the technical means to allow people to track profile views or see statistics on how often a particular piece of content has been viewed and by whom. If an application claims to provide this functionality, please report the application by going to the application’s About page and clicking "Report Application" at the bottom of the page, or by clicking "Report" at the bottom of any canvas page within the application.

Applications you use may ask for permission to access content from your News Feed and Wall. Granting this permission does not allow applications to see who has viewed your profile. It simply allows applications to see which friends have interacted with posts, such as which friends liked or engaged with a particular wall post.

I closed my face book account

I google my name and came up with my face book account and all the people I had on my list even though I had it marked private. I don't like the fact of all the people I chat with on face book is public knowledge.

I have never clicked on it because it's dumb. Why should I care who has pulled up my profile? Unless they're attempting to hack into it, let them view it as many times as they want.

Just an FYI because it came up in a conversation with a friend, so I thought others might be interested as well.

Thanks for posting that! I figured it was a scam. I have all my privacy settings set, and I have never been able to see into my FB if I wasn't logged in, so I figured no one else can either.

I google my name and came up with my face book account and all the people I had on my list even though I had it marked private. I don't like the fact of all the people I chat with on face book is public knowledge.

Surprisingly enough, I have a very common name -

Google Search for: "Bann"
About 27,300 results (0.07 seconds)

5,540,000 results for Yahoo.

I figure if anyone wants to wade through all those results for moi, more power to them!
