She's right. But "snowbird" registrations in multiple states can swing skintight elections, and are a good reason to tighten both identification and absentee ballot laws. In Florida, where the Bush-Gore presidential election was decided by 537 votes, the New York Daily News found in 2004 that between 400 and 1,000 voters registered in Florida and New York City had voted twice in at least one recent election.

One...

...of the biggest stories that consistently goes untold, or at least very under told, is voter fraud.

It is the dirty secret, the underlying strength of a particular party's power.

I always hear this rejected because of the 24th amendment:
Amendment 24 - Poll Tax Barred. Ratified 1/23/1964
The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.
Because, attaining some kind of ID has inherant costs, travel to a place to get the ID, etc.

Personally, I don't see it. And, just make the voter's registration card a picture ID, with no fee. Takes away the whole problem, IMO.

Even when the ID is provided by the government, the Socialists are against the idea. Harder to commit voter fraud that way.

You can't do squat in this country without showing ID. But it's "desenfranchising" voters to show ID when voting for our leadership? What a crock. They need ID to cash their welfare checks don't they?

The dems would cry if all the illegals, felons, and busloads of incontinent and confused seniors from the home couldn't vote.

I think showing an ID is a great idea. I have already seen just by where I work that there are a lot of people with the same name around here. This will cut down on confusion and fraud.

:fixed

Then the Socialists would want voter ID!
