When I lived in Darnestown (Mont Cty), a friend started a basement consignment shop. All the moms got together and pooled their childrens clothes, and sold them; and you got a little percentage of the sale. It really worked well, and it was a lot of fun. I don't know if it takes licenses, etc., or the ins and outs. I didn't start it, but participated.

I'm not too concerned about his clothes as they're not that expensive, most are Old Navy and the like. But the shoes, they are like $50 a pair and are like new !!!

You'll get more doing it on your own if that is your goal

Look for a mom's group in your area

media overload has killed trust in the human race, oh how i wish for simpler times

Actually what killed the trust was selling a couple of ATV's and dirt bikes on Craigslist and 2 times now, we've had bad experiences with either attempted break-ins or weirdo's coming BACK months later to check and see if we still were selling said items.

There are some groups (yard sale) on facebook. I've sold & purchased some things that way & I don't have them come to my house, usually meet at a shopping center.

There is a consignment sale that is twice a year in St. Mary's, Leprechaun Lillys. I think there's one in Calvert that's called Dots & Daffodils (or Daffodils & Dots)

There are also a couple shops I think one is in the Charlotte Hall area, called Just Between Kids where you take your things in, they offer you a price, you take it or leave it, & then they sell for whatever they want.

Qutie's Pies in Callaway. The owner will give you cash or store credits, and you have to make an appointment with her to drop off your items. She will look through and pick out the ones she want to purchase from you and make an offer of the price she wants to offer you.

Just Between Kids in Wildewood just opened last week, and you can find out. I haven't stop by there yet.

Cait's Closet in Lusby/Solomon Island, and she will take everything as long they are in good condition. She only give store credits (no cash). Trade in days are on Saturdays and Sundays only.

.

Just know if you take your things to one of those places their offer will be pathetic.

I took in a $150 pac & play bassinet combo that was in brand new condition. She had the same model that they were selling on display w/ a $100 tag. She offered me $25 for mine :eyebrow: I know they have to make $ but a $75 profit is a bit much. I ended up putting it for sale on somd.com for $75. It sold that day. Met the person at Mcdonalds. Easy Peasy!

Ive had good experience selling items w/ Leprechaun Lilly's but they are only twice a year so if you have space to have items sit until the sales that is the way to go.

THIS.

Ive sold quite a few bigger baby items ont he classifieds..they go real quick and I have never had anyone come to my home..usually just meet at wawa or the lusby food lion or something..pretty easya nd quick. I don't really like/trust craigslist..but somd gets the job done pretty quick and theres no pain in the butt shipping to deal with.

:yeahthat:

I've also sold and bought from Craigslist. Meet in a public place. I've never had a bad experience.

Thank You, because better idea because we have barely used baby items like crib, glider, etc.

you should hold onto that stuff incase you decide later down the road to have another baby...chase does need a brother or sister so he doesn't have to be alone all the time with nobody to play with when u get older and can't play ball or any of that atleast he will have someone to play ball with etc..
