Semi pro football is comming to St marys county. The try outs will be in held in mid november for the country warriors athletic association.Signs will be posted at rt 6,Mechanicsville Chaptico rd,across from burch mart hollywood,Leonardtown light@burchmart,Greatmills rd @ sheets,rt 4 and 235 across from Wawa,any players that would like information please call Bill Williams@240-577-3580 after 8:00PM m-s.We will be playing for the Diamond football league and until our web site is complete go to diamondfootballleague.com of New Jersey.Thanks for all your support Bill Williams.CWAA LLC.

CWAA would like to thank Clifford dukes and John duckett for their meeting with Bill Williams last week these ex profootball players product of st marys pigskin, will be the first to sign with our new league. Dukes and Duckett played under pigskin for years in st marys county under Don kemp sr st marys pigskin,and we welcome them to our home for the 2010 season.Bill Williams football advisor.

John Duckett is clean and drug free! Given a clean bill of health and physical.Johns leagal matters in the past are not a concern of mine at this time.Ive got a copy of everything he's done in his life.In this county you must be careful because theirs always someone wanting to bite you.All rules and regulations are followed per Diamond football league,and the NFL rule book.Thank you for your concerns Bill Williams. Terrell Reeves played for Deleware State a few years ago and is still in good shape you should get him out there.

After talking to Doug rollins this weekend,semipro for st marys county is looking great.Doug intends to bring more players from college wiith him to sign up first meeting will be the first or second saturday of november.Time date,and location still undecided,but i will keep you informed.Keep the calls coming Bill Williams 240-577-3580.Doug rollins is also product of pigskin football and will post on threads soon .

We think the meeting will probley be on the seventh of november any questions or comments call 240-577-3580 no experiance required minimal skill it will be about 750$ were not quite sure yet but thats why the meeting is being held just informational not sign up's just call we need players for every position

If its semi-pro, shouldn't you be paying the players to play like in Minor League Baseball instead of charging them a wopping $750 fee?

Whooping not wopping and football is not like baseball we have pads lots of pads you should know that baseball is sponsered by the yankees orioles they get money we need money to start we are coming out of our pockets with the money then alot more for pads baseball gets a bat helmet and uniform we have jerseys, helmets, shoulder pads, thigh and knee pads, cleats, practice uniforms, practice gear, and dummies you should be good for that mark something off our list:killingme but you get the point so unless you have someone to play please stay off the thread. Anyone who wants to play if you read the thread we dont know what the total price to sign up is. Questions call 2405773580 thank you

(Zguy28):Im putting together a semi-pro team in st marys.25 semi-pro players,leave the county to play in Charles and Calvert. Putting a new team together cost around $50,000.The $10,000 i donated just scratches the surface, equipment costs alone are $18,000.League fees are around $10,000.Semi-pro football and semi-pro baseball are two different sports. It seems that baseball has a much better program of paying players,i cant answer why the local leagues are non-pay,but we dont belong to any NFL teams like in baseball.Being part of semi-pro last year ,i watched in some cases of 60 to 70 guys coming out and by the end of the year 26 to 30 were still showing up for games and practices.These wopping prices you point out are no so wopping when you look at a spread sheet. In some cases nation wide you must have a $500.00 sign up,$500.00 per player for equipment,$1000.00 sponsorship and still have to do fundraisers. I am interested in playing semi-pro football but every time I try to call that number it gives me something about the verizon cusotmer you are trying to reach isnt available blah blah blah I was just wonder if there is another number or am I calling too late. I try calling between 8 pm and 830pm. I was just hoping to get more information and to find out where the meeting will be taking place.
