As we all know, domestic violence doesn't only affect the people in the household, your companion animals are also at risk. Many victims continue to place themselves and their family at risk because they think they do not have a choice in order to protect their pets as well. The Humane Society of Calvert County will be presenting their new program to aid victims of Domestic Violence.
The Humane Society of Calvert County, Inc., will be presenting:
"Domestic Violence and Your Pet" on Tuesday evening, June 23, at 7 p.m. at the Public Library in Prince Frederick at 7 p.m. (Seating at 6:45 p.m.)
This is a no-cost seminar. We have several experts speaking at this seminar. The Humane Society's new program to assist the victims of Domestic Violence with their pets will be introduced to the public.
If you know anyone at all that may be in a situation of Domestic Violence and pets are involved, please tell them about this seminar and encourage them to attend.
